Good Luck to Haunchwood on Sunday 1st April and Atherstone Cons on Sunday 8th April in the prelims of Clubs Championship.

Play begins at 11 am at  Leyland Fox Lane on both days.  The Finals are on 15th April.

Midland Masters 2017 -- Finals

Staged at The Florence, Stoke on Trent

Mark Burdett was unable to play due to injury, J Baddeley, K Kitlinski, M Warrington, S Pratt, R Burdett Mnr & C Wilkins lost in round 1.

H Chapman narrowly lost 20/21 in round 2 along with S Donovan, M Horton, W Kay & Matt Allen -- beaten by eventual winner Greg Smith.

Our last man standing was Haunchwoods Darren Day who went out in round 3.

The final was between Josh Bradburn from  Shropshire and Greg Smith (W&W County star) playing under the Staffordshire banner because W&W did not enter this year.

Greg was looking like a winner all day and was the bookies favourite at 3/1 before the first jack was delivered.

Finding what proved to be a difficult mark along one edge Greg dispatched 6 opponents without ever looking like losing. Along with the Midland Masters title he wins a place in the Champion of Champions.
